Jeff begins each design with a pencil sketch, expressing his subject’s essence with a few subtle lines
that convey its vitality.
Next, Jeff selects hardwood and shell species to best portray the historical Elks emblem, its majestic
spirit and benevolent symbolism. Each piece is precision cut, assembled, bonded, sanded, lacquered and finished
by hand. Click here to download the materials list.

The Elks emblem is distinguished by a Craftsman Bungalow style frame made
from Lyptus, a premium hardwood that is sustainably-grown and harvested. Its
density, strength and beauty rivals cherry and mahogany. Click here to download a PDF of the history of the Elks Emblem. |
